Retarder is an additive that delays hardening and curing speed of mortar. It is mainly used to prolong open time and setting time for cement based or gypsum base mortar.

When gypsum meet water, it would become hard in a very short period, which makes operation time of gypsum greatly shortened. Gypsum Retarder can effectively prolong the setting time of gypsum, users can control the initial setting time of gypsum by adjusting different dosage of Retarder.

GUUDPOLY Retarder can be used in various gypsum based mortar, filler, skim coat (wall putty), cement base self-leveling mortar, waterproof mortar, etc.

GUUDPOLY GR81 is produce by degraded polyamids, salified with calcium. It’s a kind of retarder special designed for various gypsum applications.

Handling & Dosage

GUUDPOLY GR81 can be added to other powdery components and mix to get a homogenous formulation. The dosage may vary from 0.02%~0.2% against gypsum (pbw) according to actual usage. The required dosage should be evaluated in suitable tests prior to final application.
