Feed grade calcium formate contains higher than 30% of organic acid calcium. It’s more easily absorbed by animals, especially for weaned piglets, its gastrointestinal development is not complete, gastric acid secretion is insufficient. Calcium formate does not need stomach acid to participate. It can free up formic acid in piglet gastrointestinal tract to effectively reduce and regulate gastrointestinal ph value, so as to prevent the growth and reproduction of Escherichia coli and other pathogenic bacteria. At the same time, formic acid also promote the growth of some beneficial bacteria (such as Lactobacillus) to improve the appetite of piglets and reduce weaning diarrhea, dysentery and other diseases.
